Trip to farms: Tasting coffees at Colombia

October 23, 2023

Last week we had the opportunity to travel to Colombia, specifically to the Eje Cafetero area, in Armenia, Quindío. This trip was an unforgettable experience that allowed us to get to know six coffee estates first hand, where we discovered the way of working and the different coffee processes. This region is known for its ideal climatic and geographical conditions for coffee cultivation, which is reflected in the exceptional quality of its beans. Meeting the people who work there, seeing their passion and dedication, and tasting new flavors is always an enriching experience. During the trip, we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the entire coffee production chain. We visited the farms we work with, visiting from planting to harvesting and processing the grains. We also had the opportunity to taste a wide variety of coffees, which allowed us to select the origins that will later be part of our offer. This direct contact helps us better understand the processes and value the work behind each cup of coffee. These visits are fundamental to our commitment to quality and sustainability. Knowing the coffees first hand allows us to select those that offer the best flavor and quality characteristics. It also allows us to ensure that our coffees are seasonal and environmentally friendly. We are excited to share that some of the origins we discovered on this trip will be available very soon in our customers’ establishments and in our premises. Many new products are coming!
